sorry for asking a lot of questions lately but this is the first time ive had a intel and am a bit confused with settings,

CPU Speed
CPU Clock 2997.0 MHz (original: 2400 MHz, overclock: 25%)
CPU Multiplier 9.0x
CPU FSB 333.0 MHz (original: 266 MHz, overclock: 25%)
Memory Bus 499.5 MHz
DRAM:FSB Ratio 12:8

CPU Cache
L1 Code Cache 32 KB per core
L1 Data Cache 32 KB per core
L2 Cache 4 MB (On-Die, ASC, Full-Speed)

Memory Timings 5-7-7-23 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

SPD Memory Modules
DIMM1: GeIL CL5-5-5DDR2-800 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)
DIMM3: GeIL CL5-5-5DDR2-800 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)

as you can see my memory is running at 499.5mhz,but how is that when i only overclocked my cpu by 69mhz,is my ram normal running setting suppose to be 400mhz or am i reading things wrong, sorry for being such a pain

You're running on the x3.0 memory multiplier.

You can drop it to x2.5 to have it running at 833mhz.

Is it the CAS4 Geil?

no its the c5 geil, and cheers for the help,p.s whats the 2.5 multi, also is it running slower than it should be then, because i havent a clue with the speed of this new ram

It's running at 999mhz (499.5 x 2), so it's 25% faster than its rated speed. Tho your timings are very loose (they should be 5-5-5-15 rather than 5-7-7-23). But they likely won't do 99mhz at 5-5-5-15.

The memory multiplier is the memory speed to FSB ratio ie- At your current x3.0 memory multiplier, your memory is running three times faster than your current FSB.

so what would my rams speed be if i hadnt of overclocked it,

If you dropped down to the x2.5 memory multiplier your memory would currently be running at its rated speed of 800mhz (333x2.5=800).

cheers lads for helping me on this will drop it down to 2.5 and let it run at the normal speed as adding another 2gb today and want it to run ok,you lot are stars cheers again

CPU Speed
CPU Clock 2996.9 MHz (original: 2400 MHz, overclock: 25%)
CPU Multiplier 9.0x
CPU FSB 333.0 MHz (original: 266 MHz, overclock: 25%)
Memory Bus 416.2 MHz
DRAM:FSB Ratio 10:8

Chipset Properties
Motherboard Chipset Intel Bearlake G31/G33/P35
Memory Timings 5-6-6-19 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

so now on 2.5 so that means its only running 32mhz over its normal rated speed is that right

cheers cob will give it a try,cob how do you get into the settings for the ram,it says you are suppose to press ctr+f1 but when i do that nothing happens any ideas please m8

Press them together on the main BIOS screen and then go into the overclocking menu and they should have magically appeared.
