Memory Query

Last year I bought the Ultima 9200 Mosasaur gaming system.

I'm thinking of upgrading the memory on it though. It has 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel memory.

I've been trying to find out, but haven't been too successful, but can I upgrade my memory to DDR3 Quad Channel memory?? My motherboard is an Intel Z68 Chipset GEN3 (Socket 1155) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard.

No you can't upgrade to quad channel.

But if the motherboard has 4 RAM slots you could add another 2x2GB which would give you 2 pairs operating in dual channel mode.

Or add 2x4GB and have 12GB operating as 2 pairs in dual channel mode.

Or just replace the 2x2GB with 2x4GB.
