memory question regarding 4 sticks of 512mb

hi guys and gals,

i have the setup in my sig and the memory is Geil Value 3200 2x512mb memory. could i just add 2x512mb sticks to it and keep my 2.5-3-3-6 @ 225mhz setting?

or would i have to spend an extra £100 for some more 2gb kits?

seriously doubt it. I added 2 extra 512MB GeIL sticks recently and my memory refused to run at 400. Try to sell your existing sticks and buy 2x1GB.

Same for me too.I had 4x512 sticks of Geil and it would only run at DDR333 speeds.Better off selling the Geil and putting it towards a good 2x1gb kit

i have 4 x 512 sticks of Corsair 3200xlpro and ive never had any issues with it

I have 4 sticks in my Asrock. 2 corsair value and 2 generic. Runs at 400 no probs.
