Sorry for the recurring question but just trying to figure out what the best memory to buy is. Im gettin a e8500 chip with most likely an dfi x48 mobo. Is it worth buying 1066 memory, or would that not make a difference from 800? I thought that the higher the speed the better yet i still see people with really good builds still using 800 so this made me think!
Thanks

Most CAS 4 PC6400 will clock past 900mhz, so it's usually more than enough for overclocking. People buy PC8500 because it's guaranteed to clock as far as they'll ever need it to, plus it can be had for not much more than CAS 4 PC6400 these days.
