Memory Question

I wanna add more RAM to my computer because at the moment I only have 2Gb(RAM Type in sig also mobo), I was wondering if I was better off buying 2Gb of this type of 4Gb of another type which would be better?

Could I put 2Gb of this RAM instead of my old type ? TWIN2X2048-6400

It has the same spec on the Corsair website

both ways would work mate, why not just add another 2gig to your existing ram.?

Personally I would buy the 4GB of another type. I didn't have issues with memory incompatibilty when I did that, and it left me open to upgrading to 8GB later on, which I've now done. Having 4x1GB sticks in your mobo will make upgrading more expensive in the future, whereas having 2x1GB and 2x2GB means you can keep the 2x2GB.

Or you could skimp a bit more and get one additional 2GB stick
