My pc is around 3 and a bit years old now, and in that time it has been sitting idle.
It was all configured good and working fine when last used with the occasional usage.
I have since, started using it more frequently and installed Windows 10 64 bit on it.
I started getting some blue screen issues with windows 10 saying it needed to restart do to something along the lines of memory_Management.
So re-started, and it kept boot looping with the same issue.
So, i tested each ram in each slot until I came to 1 ram stick which kept making the PC boot loop. (Turns On then instantly off again with no on screen messages) so figured i found the faulty stick and removed it.
Windows now starts fine, but Windows 10 AND the bios is only showing that I have 12gb ram available.
I therefore tested each memory stick in each slot on mobo and they are only showing as 4gb each when they should be 8gb.
Memory remap is on. Reset the CMos by removing the battery.
does anyone know what else for me to do? CPUz is only showing 12gb too
Spec: maximus gene v. i7 3770k. evga gtx 780. 250gb ssd. 1tb hdd. lian li v600fb. 24gb ram (Showing 12gb - 1866mhz, 4sticks 4x8gb). 750w psu. xonar d2x.
