Hi all. Just been getting into system building for a bit of something to do really. Basically my computer has been freezing completely randomly which i have eventually traced down to the wrong Memory settings. I have no idea to manually set the values. Where can i find out what these all mean as i would like to learn. Alternatively if anybody would be sooo kind to help me out it would be much appreciated.

Motherboard is M4a785TD-V evo
Processor is Phenom II X4 965
Memory is 2 x 2GB Corsair 1333
In the bios (latest version) i have the following options and they confuse the hell out of me:

Memory clock value - auto / manual
Memclock value - 400, 533, 667, 800
DRAM timing - Auto, DCT0, DCT1, BOTH

I know the memory is stated as being 1.5v, but thats all i know.

Shouldnt i have a 1333 in the first option?

Dan

Have left the settings on 533 and 1.5v for now. Seems to be running fine. Will see what happens over the next few days then i definately know its memory related as it was freezing daily.

I will do a bit of reading. Possibly try memtest and everest. Thank-you.
