The speed of the RAM is determined by the speed of the CPUs external clock. So where the FSB is 200MHz the memory will run at 400MHz (Double data rate) x 8 data bits = 3200 (PC3200)
However, bear in mind the Memory ratio.. 6/6 or 100% means the memory is running at the same speed at the external clock. 5/6 means that the same memory will run at 333MHz and not the full 400Mhz in my example. This is used when over clocking the the FSB but not the memory.
