Memory speed question...

Ok noob question coming up, I have two sticks of 4GB Corsair ram (not sure of the actual model, any way to check without opening/removing them from PC?) ...

Anyways, when I run CPU-Z it says that my DRAM frequency is 799.9Mhz although Im sure it was 1600Mhz DDR3 that I purchased. Is this just because there is 2 sticks and it is effectively halving the speed?

I was considering adding 2 more 4GB sticks to give me 16GB total. Any negative consequences of this?

Dram frequency is 800Mhz but doubled data rate to DDR 1600. So it is working perfectly. Should be no problem adding two more sticks.
