Got two pc's

Both with i7 processors and 12GB memory

PC1 is an i7 990 on a ROG Rampage III Black edition
PC2 is an i7 975 on a ROG Rampage II

But i noticed on pc1 when running memtest 4.20 it shows my memory at 9974MB/s and pc2 shows 12547MB/s

Is there any way of getting the memory to run faster on pc1.

Below pics show what i mean, they also show memory is running 1600MHz, and what type of memory
I know its not the memory, as i have swapped memory over in both pc's. Probley some bios settings.
Thanks

The second PC's RAM have lower timings, hence the faster speeds. Only way for the first PC to match this is if you lower the timings on the RAM, but this counts as overclocking the RAM.

Maybe Memtest is reading triple channel operation incorrectly.

Do you have the RAM in the correct slots for triple channel operation on PC1?

The manual recommends that three sticks are installed in the black slots.

Lower timings should really give that difference in results, as overall bandwidth is dependant on frequency. Timings are generally access speed.

You're testing 3x4Gb and 6xGb with different timings, one is more dense than the other, it's a hard comparison really . But set the timings the same and try again anyway.

It says you're running triple channel so i assume you're running them in the correct slots.
