Memory speed

I'm getting a i7-7700k and Asus ROG Strix Z270E motherboard and would like your thoughts on memory speed.

Would you recommend I get the maximum speed for the motherboard - 3866)?

Or would 2666 be good? Or something in the middle like 3000 or 3200?

I will be getting the lowest latency and 32GB (either 4x8 or 2x16) as I will be using this for more than just gaming (design, photography, video, music).

I went for 3000mhz memory.

Faster only seems very marginally better, I went for 3000mhz. Depends just how much more money it costs really.

I would go 3000-3200 these speeds offer improvement but in general dont limit CPU and CPU Cache OC in any way.
