Hi, been using a pair of Geil PC4000 Platinums for nearly a year, but have only allowed the mobo to auto the timings (apart from disabling 2T) in bios. I know this memory is capable of running over 200 Mhz frequency but I don't have a scoobies on how to obtain this.
Using CPU-Z it shows the SPD timings for 250Mhz frequency to be
250 2.5/5/5/9 and at the moment its running @ 200 2/4/4/7.
Guess what I'm asking it that if I were to try to clock this up to a high frequency would it make much of a difference (mainly in gaming terms) and is it easy to do/how do I do it?
My mobo is a Asus A8V Deluxe, rest of spec if needed can be found in sig. Any advice and or links are more than welcome.
