Ordered and been using CellShock 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-8000C4 1000MHz Dual Channel Kit for about 10 months now. It was RMA'ed once (frequent crashes and failing memtest86) back in April.

Since it's return in May, it's been rock solid stable at 1000MHz at all rated specs. Never tried pushing it higher.

As of today, my system (usually on 24/7) has crashed 8 times and now on a memtest, the memory is regularly failing at a specific (948Mb) location.

Time for another RMA? Or anything else I should check. Nothing has changed on the system for 6 months, no new hardware, no bios changes, no bios updates. It's exactly as it has been.

Telephoned the retailer to RMA, they have said send them back for replacement. I asked if it would be possible to buy some more RAM now and then have it reimbursed when these are tested and found faulty by the retailer, but they flat out refused.

Basically I am trying to avoid being without my PC for ANOTHER 3-4 weeks while the retailer faffs around and gets my memory returned.

Also I can't change brands etc and won't get equivalent monetary value if the RAM is substitued. I get "their choice" that will be of "similar" specifications....
