Does there exist a program to tell you the temperature of the memory?

I've been having a few BSODs recently and I'm suspecting the memory overheating - it's very hot to the touch. I've got a spare 120mm fan lying around somewhere that I can set up to blow over the memory, but I was wondering if there was some way I could find out exactly how hot it is?

(Memory is 2GB of Geil Value DDR in an Abit NF7-S v.2 with a 2500XP-M at 11x200 and everything else is relatively cool MB:29 CPU:39 GPU:43 at idle.)

There are no thermal sensors on the memorychips.

Only way to rule out memory overheating is using a fan to actively cool them and see if that helps with stability.

My old Ballistix were roasting as well, I had to cool them with a 80mm fan blowing onto them.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case.

Anyway, I've hung a 120mm Akasa Amber blowing on to the memory and the system seems perfectly stable now. In fact, it may be my imagination, but I think that the whole computer has just become more reponsive, even the internet!

Maybe the hot memory wasn't performing ideally causing even more instability that you did not see in the form of a BSOD?
