Hi, i find myself with a small debate on two issuse, any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

My Graphics card has finally given up - or atleast thats what i think as im getting awful FPS/artifacting/graphics tearing. This happens on evey program i run, be it TW:Rome, CS (over time) even on the desktop.

So, how this related to the Topic thread?

Well, i had two options, upgrade to a modern PC or try upgrade my current PC.
A new PC would be great but its just not in my budget right now, so im looking to reinforce what i have. The graphics card im going for is the 512 HIS X1950 Pro. The CPU i cant do much with, but hope for a cheap Extreme edition. Finally the RAM.

This ram has been trouble since the day i bought it, i should have bought 2GB but i didnt. Less than a year later i went to buy another Gig, but i count find any, eventually bought some from Microlandtechnology - who then sent me out some duff value gear -and promptly went into administration, thus i lost that money. 2 years on, now my only hope of more ram is our good ol' auction site.

So, having this monkey on my back, id like to know of a good reputable memory testing application, so i can test "Frederico's" "good as new" RAM should he decide to send it two weeks after he has my money.

And people call me a cynic. :D

Ofcourse, im open to any other options.

Thanks

Is that a Application in windows? or from a specific site?
I was a bit dubious to google RAM test and D/L a "free application" as i couldnt be sure of the authenticity of the site.

Would the extra ram make the difference?
