Memory timing

Hi,

Just got a 4gb kit of Kingston Hyper X 1066mhz 2 x 2gb

Just needed some help getting it to run at full speed as currently only doing 800mhz.
Motherboard is Asus Crosshair 2 with AMD Phenom 9850BE

What's the best way to set it up/what needs changing??

varys from mobo to mobo most have either a ram divider or multiplyer and your FSB directly relates to it example mine is set tp 240FSB x6.66 RAM which equals 1600MHZ(1598.4 actual) you will need to work out for yourself which is best

it might help to know if your overclocking or not as you might not have a clue what i'm talking about


is your mobo auto not setting it correctly..... Also could you download a program called CPU-Z run it and post a screen shot of the page which shows your details like FSB,cpu,cpu speed
