Hey Guys, just got my new M5A99X Evo AM3+ board and trying to get my system back to it's old clock settings etc etc

just having some ( idiot?) issues with the memory timings and the new names given on my new board ( why do they have to change the damn names...... )

it's Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz ram, 2x2Gb sticks
now what i have written down from my old board is

CAS#7
RAS# TO CAS#7
RAS PRECHARGE 7
TRAS - 7
TRC - 41
Command Rate - 1T

now on the new board ( they are not called this, apart from the command rate )

DRAM CAS# LATENCY
DRAM RAS# TO CAS# DELAY
DRAM RAS# PRE TIME
DRAM RAS# ACT TIME
DRAM READ TO PRE TIME
DRAM RAS# TO RAS# DELAY

pretty sure my timings will fit into those listed above, but which ones? i dont want to 'wing' it and knacker my board or ram, so can anyone help out please lol

Best to leave everything at 'auto' or set to 'SPD'

Unless your memory has an XMP profile and the motherboard supports it in which case select that.

Manually messing with memory timings really isn't worth it anymore for the tiny amount of performance increase you may get.

Leave everything at default. Boot up and run CPU-Z and go to the SPD tab.
It might give you a better overview of where the settings are and of other acronyms.
It will also give you a good idea of what timings you can set and their required voltage.

Also when you go over the setting in your BIOS it sometimes gives you a brief description on one of the sides to what it is.
