Hey 8 pack, congrats on your awesome record breaking OC's!
Im happy with my moderate i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz, lol.

Was wondering if tweaking my memory settings would show any noticeable improvements?
As it stands, this is what I have.

Any suggestions or tips as to what to change to improve things or is it all just best left as is?
My memory is this...
8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 PC3-12800 BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU, link to Crucial site, http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/partspecs.aspx?imodule=BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU

On the OCUK site, they have them listed as 9-9-9-27 which appears to be incorrect? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-132-CR

TIA. :)

Have you tried overclocking the dimms first??

IE stock setting 1.65v whats top stable frequency. Using Straps and BLK. Once we have top frequency we can tune.

As it stands the obvious tuning at 1600mhx is try Cas 8 first then, 1T Command rate, TRFC 121 then 114. Also try tWR 10. Try tRTP 5 and tWTR 5 also.

Hi 8pack,
Havent tried OC'ing dimms as yet. Sounds like a plan.
The stock voltage on my dimms is 1.5v, should I up the clock on the dimms until they fail and then up the voltage or just find maximum clock speed with stock voltage?

I was looking for a program to measure my current memory performance and found SiSoftware Sandra Lite. Is it any good?
Stock configuration I got the following results.

In the last set of results, it shows me ranking 11!
Thanks for your input.

You can go upto 1.65v on ram. To be honest at stock settings your not going to get much frequency improvement on those DIMMS. Try 1866. Then tune.

Sis Sandra is good, as is Aida 64 and Maxx Mem to test memory improvements made.
