I've just tried to lower my memory timings on my computer as ive overclocked my processor and when i run prime95 i get an error after about 1.5 hours... Ive got a pretty good hunch its the memory as i havent touched that yet. Any how .. I changed my timings from 9 9 9 28 to 7 7 7 24 and my system refused to boot? any ideas what i could change to make this work? Thanks in advance :)

What memory are you using?

It probably may work at tighter timings with a lower memory speed.

Geil Corsa dual channel 1866mhz.... think ive sorted my prime 95 problem though ive lowered my voltage of ram down to 1.6v and my northbridge to 1.3v....

Question... Can too high voltage effect stability?

Not sure what that lol was for?

Anywho, yes, having volts too high can cause instability. Higher voltage = more heat. More heat = more signal noise. Too much noise and it falls over.
That might sound counter-intuitive since we usually up the voltage on the CPU to get it stable, but the cooling is sufficient to keep the heat, and therefore the noise, down. Northbridges don't always have adequate cooling, hence upping the voltage doesn't always work.
