ok basically i just bought a new system:
e6300
bfg 680i mobo
8800 gtx
tuniq 120 mm cpu cooler
and
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2
i have overclocked my cpu to 3.4ghz by uping FSB ref clock to 1950.0,
and cpu core voltage to 1.46250v. all running well and cool
but my memory timings under optimal are:
TCL (cas latency): 5
TRCD: 6
TRP: 6
TRAS 17
comand per clock: 2T
advanced
TRRD 5
TRC 25
TWR 6
TWTR 10
TRES 7.8 u
5-6-6-17 is too high?
my mem voltage was 2.0v and i tried 4-4-4-15 it wouldnt boot,
i then read voltage should be 2.1v so i changed this and enterd 4-4-4-12 timings,
and a fsb QDR,mhz of 900 (actual mem ddr 890.6) it would then boot up with no visible problems
I was wondering are these optimal settings should the mem fsb be higher or lower?
what are the optimal settings for this ram?
does it affect my cpu overclock of 3.4 ghz?
any help would be greatly apreciated
cheers guys i hope i made sense
