Memory timings question for 6300/Ds3 Oc.

Hi

I have got the following spec:

Intel C2D 6300 processor
Gigabyte DS3 with bios F10
2GB Kingston - KVR667D2N5/1G
Gigabyte G-Power cooler

The stock timings for the RAM are 5-5-5-15, but as you can see from the picture below, they are all wonky. I have them just set on auto the DS3 and that's what it picks.

I have oc'd the CPU up to over 3Ghz with no problems.

So can someone explain what I should now do with the RAM timings?? Am I best letting the DS3 choose them or should I set them manually at their stock timings and start over pushing the FSB up?

Enter the BIOS and press CTRL + F1 so the memory options show up in the MIT part of the BIOS.

Then change the settings manually.

Well if your RAM is rated to run at 5-5-5-15 then id try that first.

tried that and it won't even boot, I had to reset CMOS

Well considering that you have pc5300, you'll probably not get to tighten them.

Anyway, 860mhz from pretty standard 5-5-5-15 pc5300 is pretty good going.
