memory timings

cool, is it only when overclocking you need to start messing with it? or even then is it not worth the hassle? Its the Asrock Dual Sata mobo, just I read somewhere that leaving things on auto in the bios is not the best for performance

Also to ask another question I have a spare 512mb of memory but its PC2700, I have tried them in the board and they work no conflicts but would it lessen the performance and not really be worth it?
