Hi Guys & Gals,

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right dimensions for what i should try and get my memory timings to - i have no idea what the timings do or how they effect performance, but i do know the tighter the better!

No i am running my 6300 @ 3.15ghz however i feel my memory timings are letting dwn with the performance.

CPUZ tells me that my timings are:

CAS#Latency: 5.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay: 7 clocks
RAS# Precharge: 7 clocks
Cycle Times (Tras): 23 clocks

These are rather slack, and just wondering if anyone could acctually tell me what i should try get these to and what setting to change in the bios of a DS3 board.

Many Thanks

Tighter memory timings generally give a small increase in performance.. you are talking single % increase. It was only the old Athlon XP processors which used to really benefit from it.

What memory do you have? It should tell you the rated timings at stock.
