memory upgrade advice

Hi everyone,

Long time shopper first time poster.

I have an "Titan Machete" Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz Turbo Nvidia GeForce Gaming PC system with 8GB of RAM which i purchased March 2014 from Overclockers and i wish to upgrade this to a total 16GB.

The mother board is an Asus Z87-K.

I am not sure what memory is installed and which would compatible, can someone please advise me which RAM i need?

It will be ddr3 ram. Depending on how many dimm slots you have and the current configuration you may need to buy 8 or 16 gigs. If you buy 8 you will need to match the ram that you already have.

Typical ddr3 speed is 1600 but if you set xmp in your bios you can go much higher.
