im looking to upgrade my memory as my cpu can hit 2.5 stable easily on the chunkyest divider however when i try and test my ram's overclockability windows wont load at +5mhz. im looking at the following modules:
mushkin 2gb ddr xp4000 extreme 3-4-3-8
ocz PC4000 gtx xtc 3-4-3-8
G.Skill PC4000 3-4-4-8
these are all 2GB kits as im guessing gb > timings+fsb (well to an extent) lol
is it worth considering some really nice PC3200 for the same price? i know timings>fsb with amd's but surely i could just downclock fsb and tighten up for performance but with the possibility to still clock to 2.5Ghz if i felt like it?
they range from £150 - £175 just wondering if anyone has any of these and what they peform like? or if there is another one that i should seriously consider.
also how important are the heatsinks and are they easy to remove as they might not fit with them on (im using a blue orb II)
