Hi All,

I have a PC with a ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME GLACIAL motherboard.

I currently have 64GB (4 x 16GB) Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 5200MHZ C40 (SKU CMT32GX5M2B5200C40 )

And was thinking of upgrading to either 64GB (4 x 16GB) Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 7000MHZ C34 (SKU CMT32GX5M2X7000C3)

Or 64GB (4 x 16GB) Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 7600MHZ C36 (SKU CMT32GX5M2X7600C36)

I have already upgraded to a 4090 and 13900K - Is the memory upgrade actually worth it?

I shouldn't think so, what are you actually doing in the VMs? Do you know how high a 13900K is likely to go with 4 single rank sticks?

You could probably overclock those sticks you already have a fair bit, but I should imagine stability is more important to you than speed.

Good luck with that. If you went with 2x32Gb modules you should be fine but to get AMD or Intel to run stable with 4x modules at anything more than stock takes a massive amount of development, testing and patience.

Thank you. And I have various Labs/Environments for testing and development purposes such as Windows 2019 AD/Exchange. Using VMWare is really secondary to the primary purpose of my PC and that is gaming, the ram quantity I have got is really just about making sure I have enough memory to run multiple VM's concurrently whilst also being able to game.
