Right have some OcUK Value 1GB (2x512MB) I bought a while back. Thinking of upgrading my system to 2GB, i.e. add another 1GB. My questions is will it be safe to simply just add SAME SPEC memory from A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURE or just go with OcUK Value memory?

Also had a nasty experience with Crucial memory before where I bought another 512MB stick to add to my system and turned out not to be the same as the Crucial 512MB one i'd bought weeks before, so system would not boot and only worked with 1 stick inserted.

Motherboards a Asus A8V Deluxe by-the-way and I’ll be filling the black slots.

Problem with filling all 4 slots is the memory will have to run at 2 t which gives a decrease in performance.
Yup, just read that on a another POST

Remind me, is PC3200 backward compatible, i.e. can it run at PC2700 speeds? My brothers old-ish Intel PC needs a RAM upgrade.
