Memory Upgrade question

I have a Abit AV8 3rd eye mobo, old I know but it still works brilliantly even on windows 7.
I have 2 x 1GB sticks of Corsair XMS Pro 3500.
I want to know if I can buy 2 x 1GB sticks of Corsair XMS Platinum 3500. Will they work ok along side the XMS Pro ?

Both sets are matched pairs.
Any help will be great thanks.

hmm im also wondering if this is possible i have a 2gb memory ocz low latency and a 1gb corsair low latency would i run into any problems? or if i was to what signs should i look for if anything goes wrong.

As long as the RAM you choose is the same type (i.e DDR2) Then the system will use the RAM but it will work at the speed of the slowest ram.

If you have matched pairs you can run the system in dual channel mode.

If they are not matched, you can still use them in sinlge channel mode.
