I believe my system currently has

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-203-CS&groupid=701&catid=8

on a Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 board.

I am planning on upgrading the GFX card soon and probably getting a better SSD.

Would increasing the ram make much difference to performance? and would it be better to add another 2x2gig or buy 2x4gb and try and sell the others? What ram would be best to use in my system. I am keen to avoid spending the money if I can get away without it as I can then spend a little more on the gfx card.

Thanks,

I am currently playing a bit of sc2, some hearthstone but recently got some new games from steam sales and purchases I made with a view to the future so will be playing a bit of sniper 3 and bioshock infinite and might try out some BF 4 and watchdogs.

I have a core i5 2500k which is running at 4ghz atm. I did have it running a little faster but it crashed a bit to often for me. I could have course change the cooler and see if I could push it up to 4.4ghz or so again but atm is very stable at 4ghz.

What cooler are you useing ?

remember you'll need a 64bit os to take advantage of more than 3.5gb of ram

get 2x 4gb (8gb) dual channel kit, teamgroup is good value for money imo
