Hi all,

I'm not very knowledgeable at building Desktops but I just need some information and recommendations.

I have 2 x 8GB Ram Adata XPG DDR4 2400.

I would like to upgrade to 2 x 16GB but I need to know what I am able to fit to my build.

I have the following...

MSI H110M PRO-VD Board.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz processor.

Any help or suggested Items please.

Ideally purchased from overclockers.

Thank you.

Looks like you only have 2 memory slots so you'd need to buy 2x16GB.

The board only supports 2133 (or possibly 2400 with a bios update), so anything you buy above that will be downclocked, though you could always take it with you if/when you upgrade.

If you look at the "compatibility > memory > Kaby Lake" section of your motherboard's support page you can sort by memory size (click twice), with 16GB the largest size shown supported. Any of these models with two ticks should be fully supported.

One item of note is that only one of the 16GB sticks on the QVL is single sided, all others are dual sided. So, I'm not sure if Kaby Lake supports newer DDR4 memory.

For example: if you were to get something like KVR26N19D8/16, it says in the data sheet that it's dual sided with 1GB chips, so that should work fine.
