I've been looking at a RAM upgrade for a few months now, but I'm stuck with what to buy.

At the moment I have 2 x 2Gb Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz 7-8-7-20. I have them running stable at 2000Mhz 7-10-8-23.

I'm looking for 8Gb (2 x 4 only) or 16Gb (2 x 8 only) of memory which is just as fast (or faster) as my current overclocked ones. However I can't find any CL7 or even CL8 memory around at those capacities, apart from some CL8 Vengeance - which is really confusing as I thought Vengeance was the cheaper option?

What memory would you recommend which actually would be an upgrade for me?

I do plan on overclocking, and I am using an AMD FX based system in case that makes any difference.

The sticks you have are PSC IC based DIMMS they run extremely tight timings at relatively high frequency. Your not going to find faster performance at those kind of frequencys in terms of timings.

You want more memory capacity you will have to sacrifice timings at these speeds or go for much more speed and relatively tight timings. Such as 2400+ CAS 10 with tight subs and evan then my PSC do over 2400 7-11-7 1T anyway.

I cant recommend for that platform mate as I am not familiar with what the FX can reach in terms of memory overclock. If you know what speed it can reach then I can advise.
