want to upgrade from 1gb to 2gb

i am currently running 2 x 512 nanya ddr400 sticks, pc3200.

my mobo has four slots, would it be better to add 2 more 512 of the same brand or go for 2 1 gb sticks.

if i do add 2 more 512 sticks will i need to change anything in the bios?

thanks, lee.

it says you can not run 1t with four memory modules but i'm pretty sure mine is at 2t in the bios, should i change this to 1t and install 2 x 1gb modules?

would this be best for performance.

also my cpu is only mildly overclocked, just the fsb increased. no changes to multiplier or anything.

thanks.

1T makes a huge/good difference on A64 systems (think on mine it was an improvement of 500MB/s or more - running at stock speeds, i.e. 200MHz 2.5-3-3-8 & 1T). So you should definitely enable it! Suggest you go through the excellent guides posted as stickers at the top of this sub-forum :)
