I have a gigabyte P35 DS3R motherboard and have been running on 2gb of geil for some time now as my 4 sticks of ballistix gave up the ghost a while back (had them replaced twice still going wrong).
Due to lots of page file activity I am eager to sprt this memory issue. Would 8gb be deemed excessive ? was thinking of going for 2 sets of http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-114-OC as they are on special this week
or would i notice a sizeable difference with the 8500 over some 6400 ? not having the most spare cash at the moment.
What do you reckon ?
