Memory Upgrade

I have just brought a acer aspire 5315 cheap 2nd hand for my daughter but one of the 2 sticks of 1 gig ddr2 ram his faulty. I am going to replace the faulty stick but i need to know if these laptops will take more than 2 gig in the 2 memory slots.

so looks like 2gig is the limit

I was hoping to put 2x2ghz sticks in but looks like anoth 1ghz stick.
