Hi all,

Looking to upgrade from 2GB to perhaps 6 or 8GB.

My spec is:

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" o/c'd @ 3.5GHz
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultra 64bit
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST3500320AS)
Antec P182 Special Edition Super Midi Tower Case
OcUK GeForce 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2RPR800EB2GK)
OCZ StealthXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply
Tuniq tower

Currently I have OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2RPR800EB2GK).

Are there any recommendations as to what is a good upgrade?

I've been out of the upgrading thing for a while, and DDR3 didnt exist when i last checked! Although my board cant use DDR3.

Any thoughts?

Btw I'm upgrading my GPU as well, but waiting for the new AMD cards to be released before deciding, on my short list is the GTX470.

Cheers

Kingston Hyper X 1066mhz very popular choice, Using my self, great Ram, can't fault at all!

Plus Kingston RMA service is great,

Don't bother with 6/8 ... 4GB is enough... I Use 6GB for about 5 days, can't see difference between 4 and 6 GB ... only reason I did it, because I had spare Stick!

So get 4GB 1066mhz ;)
