The Kingstons HyperX Greys are incredible value at the moment and along with Corsair XMS sets have a proven track record in SB setups. Their ability to run at ~1.5V and stabilty being one of their srongest selling points - across these forums (and OcUK builds).

However, their clocking ability will be limited -as will the Vengeance you listed - 1600 MHz is the sweet spot for SB it's mostly about getting sub 1.58V (ideally 1.5V) and getting the best clock out of your CPU.

Basically, i personally would buy the cheapest quality 12800 memory which has a proven track record of running @ ~1.5V - and the Kingstons at the moment are great value.

Many Thanks Plec, I did not know that 1600 was a sweet spot for SB (learn something new everyday) I will give both suggestions a look.

At only £2 difference get which you prefer - quality memory is quality memory.

If you like the look of the Vengeance, and its high profile heatsinks wont interfere with your present or futire heatsinks, then fill your boots.

Kingston Ram it is then. The great reviews and recommendations on here were the deciding factor

@Plec thanks for the link, very interesting reading and very educational. cheers:confused::cool:
