memory usage???

my current rig set-up is as sig (e2180, Evga 680i, 4gb Patriot PC2-6400 ram etc) and compared to my mates systems (q6600, Maximus Formula, 4gb Dominator etc) i seem to be able to max my RAM usage when installing games or something, but there PC's don't

but whats more annoying is that, in no matter what i do which involves ram usage, it takes ages for it to free up again. (by which time, i've givin up waiting and launched a game or something)

Is this a common thing, or is it the nvidia chipset or just my PC bein my PC

Does it do the same if you set the memory back to 800mhz?

run memtest

with the memory at standard settings (800mhz @ 4-4-4-12) its exactly the same.

when the PC was first built, MemTest was ran on each of ma 2 sticks indivually and on both (@ stock clocks) and it all pasted.
