So when gaming my memory usage was getting upto 5.5-6.5gb, i decided to bump up my ram to 16gb. now memory usage is around 11gb lol

is this normal?

just finished playing BF4 what memory usage was at 11.56gb

Investigate what is using the memory. If you have one of those boards with a Killer NIC on it you might have the infamous memory leak.

This is resolved by either getting rid of the killer software and using a generic driver, using an updated killer driver and hoping it doesn't suck or disabling ndu.sys in the registry.

the board in quetion is the Asrock Extreme 6, it use's intel NIC, i will run a few games and use Grid+ to monitor usage, it should let me know what using it all

LOL, turns out i was reading the program wrong.
the 11.56gb is the amount of available memory, i have no changed the option to show used memory and i am getting a steady 2 to 3 gb
