Memory Utilisation

Anyone else struggling with the base MBP and 16gb Ram? I'm using mine to daily work now and constantly getting messages that I'm out off application RAM and need to force close applications.. I'm not even doing anything crazy, just a few apps and a handful of Safari tabs (maybe 10).

Any tips for getting better usage out of the 16gb Ram?

16GB should be ample, something doesn’t sound right. What’s the full spec?

Just a base m1 2022 MacBook Pro. Running standard apps. Outlook, teams, RDM, safari with 8-12 tabs, sometimes across 2 windows, Global Protect VPN, plus a few smaller Mac apps like Oversight and TopNotch

I’ve never, ever seen that message on a Mac. I have a lot more tabs than that open in Safari on my 16Gb M1 MBA and plenty of other apps open.

It doesn’t sound right.

I get it maybe 2-4 times a week.

I'll screen shot it next time but it's a MacOS message.

Open Activity Monitor and leave it on the memory tab. Let’s see what the memory pressure shows as well.

Something ain’t right, I was running all that and more on an 8GB M1 Air and never had an issue.
