Just to check something with someone who knows a bit more than me, i see that the system voltages are set as manual by default, what i want to check is wether the default voltage for the memory is set at 1.8v .. i have memory that needs to be set at 2.1v and was wondering if i need to adjust the voltage for it, or wether it will be set as 2.1 as default, im seeing on some threads that this board sets mem to 1.8 by default .. any advice would be great, cheers :D

it should say on the gigabyte website, althugh as far as I know all the gigabyte boards that based on the P35 chipset are at 1.8v on the RAM by default.

Well, i changed the voltage to +0.3 to get 2.1 but cpu-z shows 1.8 .. and also i cannot get the processor at the right speed, the clock is showing x6 multiplier not x8 despite the fact i turned off the powersaving feature :S

CPU-Z doesn't read the current memory voltage, just the SPD settings.

Did you disable both C1E and EIST?

cob answered your first question.

regarding cpu speed:
well I was gonna say that's because of Speedstep, but you say u've turned it off, try running prime and then see what cpu-z says.

thanks for the help again guys, really appreciated, it appears i didnt disable EIST aswell as C1E .. all running fine at 2.6ghz now thanks :-)
