Hi all my question is is it safe to run my Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb x2 16gb 3200 at 1.40v as the PC will not boot with XMP Profile switched on in the bios with the RAM running at 1.35v but will boot with the XMP Profile switched on running at 1.40v ??

Personally, I'd rather try running at looser timings instead of XMP, or even drop down to 3000 Mhz, but there are plenty of people running their DDR4 at 1.4 long-term and it seems to be fine. Surprising that it can't run 2x8 at 1.35v, usually it is 4 sticks that start having issues with XMP.

Thanks for your reply fella great to know that information it's the first time i have ever had to increase the ram voltage i know that my CPU voltage is ok running at 1.37v running at 4.8MHz but had no clue about the ram voltage.
Thanks again bud
Take it ez & stay safe

Just keep an eye on temps. The extra load on the memory controller will put a little more heat into the cpu

The temps seem to be fine with that OC of 4.8MHz with 1.37v i have tested it using all the stress test software available the highest it gets to is 81c on cores 0 & 2 & 82c on the CPU Package

You must be at 1.6v for daily right?
I’m at 1.5v daily.

my ram is poorly quality B die and doesn’t respond well to voltage.

I tried 1.6 but it made zero difference.

I have 2 kits of 2 by 8gig 8Pack B Die 3200CL14 but it’s single rank and my current kit is dual rank and performs better in games.

I’m a big fan of Buildzoids ram guide and his ramblings are very informative.

So why are you running 1.5v must be super tight or mega high clock
It’s tight.

My ram won’t clock past 3200 but I’m not sure if it’s my cpu or motherboard holding it back.

I did tweak the voltage to 1.45 and It was fine but then I lost the bios settings and I haven’t had the time to tweak it all again. All of my sub timings were spot on and the performance was great.
