memory - what should I do?

I am building a new PC on thursday next week I have a question though

I have a choice of 2 or 4 gb as follows:

Cosair 2x1gb pc6400
or
4 X 1gb Micron Major

the choices I have have purely down to the old ££££'s, the cosair will set me back £40ish, and the 4gb set will set me back £50

I will be running windows xp and a few games - nothing massively intensive. what would you guys reccommend?

I'd take the 4 GiB set since it's only £10 more. Remember that you'll need XP-64 in order to address all 4 GiB memory.

I only have XP 32 bit, how much does that affect me

xp will only see 3.25 gig I think with 32 bit version

Well in that case then I thkn the two gig should be fine, I might go get the cheaper memory and spend the rest on an ioss after cooler
