Memory won't fit?

Hi there, Welcome to the forums :)

Are you sure you are putting the memory in the correct orientation? The memory has an off-centre notch that needs to be lined up with the one on the motherboard memory slot.

Also, have you opened up the memory locking tabs on the motherboard?

It slides down(With a little push) until I have to clip it in, I just don't want to snap it so I'll upload a picture. :)

Thank you for the quick reply.

aslong as the notch is lined up properly just give it a good push.

is it your first time installing memory? you have to use a fair amount of force sometimes

same as installing cpus sometimes the lever on my amd3 mobo needed so much pressure it felt like the lever would bend/snap

+1 It does take a fair ammount of force to get memory locked in - perfectly normal.

So long as you are confident it is the correct orientation, I say give it some welly :)

I'm just trying to install the mobo in the case, because I was trying to install it when the mobo was on a box, but I can't get it lined up, so give me a moment. lol :/

/Sigh, I had it perfect but I wasn't pushing hard enough because I thought I would crack the motherboard. Hehe.

Sorry for wasting your time guys, suppose it is my first build. :P

Update: Just finished the build with the help of my brother, installed the H70 but I then found out that it covers the 8pin so had to take out the fan while I install that.

Hope I didn't damage the RAM when I was installing it, most cables connected but I just need to connect the front & top fans. Thank you very much for your help guys, I was ready to buy some more RAM when I thought it was too big, haha.

Thank you! :D
