hi i have a overclocked i5 2500k overclocked to 4.6 a gigabyte p67ud4 board and 4gb of memory could i put another 4gb of memory in would the overclock be ok

I would say with sandybridge you should be ok, and all the ram will be running standard. Same memory brand and model match will also help.

imo, I would say yes, i have built and configured a sandybridge system utilising an overclock and 4 memory sticks and it didn't affect the overclock I had in place with just 2 sticks. They were all bog standard xms 1600mhz ram.
