been having problems getting my pc to boot to windows for the last couple of days. Intermittantly get to just before loading the login screen and stay black and then reboots. I've been testing the ram and when I put in the one of the sticks and booted it was refusing to get to loading of windows what so ever i.e i got past post but not far enough to get the safe mode options up. Changed the ram over and the other booted fine for a while before producing the same error getting to the login screen and restarting.
Any way, decided to run memtest again and make sure that there is no error there. I ran the standard test now twice and it doesnt fine any errors. Im running an unbuffered test atm and no errors yet. I was going to run the Bios-All test next but when I did that a min ago, i got a load of failures.
I was wondering what is the difference between the bios - std and all and which test i should be running. I have 2x2gb Corsair TwinX2 6400C5.
