Memtest 86

im running memtest86 on my avexir core blue 2400mhz (16gb. 4x4gb) and its not displaying the correct 2400mhz its says 1550mhz and wrong timings, even thought I have checked the BIOS twice and its fine in there.


Also what is the smp mode?

And how many passes is a good gauge of your ram?

Doesn't show timings correctly for me either, SMP mode IIRC uses more CPU threads to do the tests which theoretically should make it a bit faster to complete.

I use 1 complete pass to get a preliminary idea of where is stable then 2-3 passes to make sure - rarely if ever a need for more than 3 complete 100% passes as by then you should be upto max operating temperatures.
