Sorry this could be a really stupid question on my part..

I'm trying to make a bootable CD of memtest.. I've come across zip files which I extract another zip file I extract again and then theres a folder labelled boot and within 2 files:

1.Boot (security catalog)
2.MEMTEST (IMG file)

There are other zip files I extract twice to which within is nothing?

Anyway, I've tried making a bootable disks with these files, burn ISO to disk selecting the IMG file..It either doesnt boot from CD or it boots but it goes to some weird DOS Prompt nothing of which seems anything to do with memtest...

All these zipfiles do suggest theres a ISO inside eg memtest86-3.2.iso > memtest86-3.2, but no ISO to be seen? Unless my pc sees it as a IMG? But even when I select that as ISO to burn, no joy...

Any help would be appreciated..

Just extract that file above, then burn the image that's contained within it.

Quite simple tbh! :)

Lol, tried it again, prolly something wrong with this PC, strange as it sounds, the same thing is happening, I extract it, all I get is another zip file...Within that zip file, all there is is a folder, click on that folder and it basically shows contents of C drive...

Will try it at home..

I know it is really simple, but when it doesn't work, you're just left sitting shrugging your shoulders to why on earth it doesnt work...
