Memtest problems

I have very recently purchased some new Corsair TwinX PC3200 RAM, two 1Gb sticks, (matched pair) to replace my GeiL Value stuff that I sold. This is running in an Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 motherboard, with a A64 3700+.

When I run memtest (Windows) and try to run it with 'All unused RAM' selected, it tells me 'Your version of Windows limits the amount of contiguous RAM a single program can allocate. You need to run two copies of memtest and tell each to use 870-odd MB of RAM'.

Fine. That's what happened with my old memory so thought nothing of it. Only problem is, when I run the second copy of memtest, it comes up with the message again, only this time it says to run two copies, each running 400-odd MB of RAM. This carries on until I have multiple copies of memtest open and running, the amount of RAM getting smaller each time.

What is going on, does anyone have any ideas? Could it be something in the BIOS? I have a friend who has the same memory on Windows XP and memtest did all the RAM at once for him?

Thanks
