Hi there,

I've been having some problems with one of the computers in my house. When I try to format / install window onto it I get a BSOD. So I ran Memtest, and got thousands of errors.. so I swapped the RAM for another stick that I had lying around, and still got thousands of errors!

I tried this with 4 sticks of spare RAM I had, and all gave the same results.

Is it safe to use RAM with errors? How many errors would the limit be for you before you changed your RAM ?

Can other hardware in a PC cause errors in your RAM? Could putting healthy sticks into a certain system cause them to have errors?

Any input would be great, I'll keep adding to this as I try a few new things.

Just a bit of an update..

One of the RAM sticks that was throwing up thousands of errors, I put into another PC and ran Memtest on it, and not 1 error showed up.

Bit confused now ^^ lol
