Memtest

Im trying to test some system ram in a computer.

I burnt the iso to disk, poped it in to the pc, and memtest loaded on its own and stated testing....


Is this all I have to do?

It didnt offer me any options to specify anything.... did about 18% in a matter of minuites?

I thought things like memtest could take hours?

Feels like I havent done it properly.

It occured to me that the pc im testing has 8Gb of ram, and the memtest version im using says x86.......

Does that mean it may not test all the ram?

So far in 2hours its doen 1 pass no errors.

How many passes you think is sufficient to test?

Mr Plec, on a totally unrelated note, i see you have a 2500k paired with your 460.

Im thinking of upgrading my qx9650 to a SB or a BD.

In your experience, has the 2500k lifted the performance of your 460?
